Northwest Singer-songwriter Releases Tribute Song and Video About The Coal Miner's Daughter, Loretta Lynn
NW Washington singer/songwriter Laurie Lee Lewis has just released a song and video called "Ode To Loretta Lynn" in honor of the Queen of Country Music, legendary and former "local NW girl" Loretta Lynn.
DEMING, WA, August 05, 2011 /Music PR News/ -- In her song, Laurie expresses her gratitude for the dedicated life and music Loretta has brought to the world over the past 50 years, as well as inspiring many women in country music today. Laurie hustled to record her song and video in time to welcome Loretta back to the Northwest where she will perform August 18th at the NW Washington Fair.
On her new video, Laurie shares a bit of the back story of why Loretta Lynn has been such a powerful influence to her personally. One, being the connection that Laurie's mom, Darlene Little had with Loretta, when both gals played in local clubs. Laurie also shares the story of receiving the sweetest, life-changing kiss from the Coal Miner's daughter.
Laurie's music career includes over 23 years of writing, recording, producing, performing, touring as an opening act, as well as the catalyst for several charity fund-raising projects. Through the years, her greatest honor has been when compared to Loretta for her honest writing style and down home personality.
