DirectRooms.com is pleased to announce that the Cork Midsummer Festival takes place from 11th June to 26th June this year. It is an event filled with visual arts, theatre, dance, music and fun.
PHUKET, THAILAND, May 12, 2011 /Music PR News/ -- The event displays the best in dance on 16th and 17th June at the Cork Opera House with Cirque Mandingue.
Black and White is a story told by music, dance and acrobatics to the beat of traditional African djembe drums. With nine amazing performers on stage, these dancers, contortionists, and circus artists tell the story of their friendship. This show is suitable for children age five and over. Show times are 8pm on both nights. Tickets are EUR12.00 / EUR18.00 / EUR50.00.
On 18th June, be swept away by 90 minutes of superb music as the ten-piece Penguin Cafe Orchestra plays harmoniums and global melodies. Starting at 8:00 pm in the Cork Opera House, the night's genre is that of street music. Led by Arthur, Jeffes' son, enjoy a night of wonderful costume and worldly music. Concessions are EUR20.
Everyman Palace Theatre will play host to Man of Valour starting 21st to 26th June inclusive. Created by writer Michael West, performer Paul Reid and director Annie Ryan, this magnificent show features Fergus Farrell, an office drone with an adventurous imagination. The performance begins each night at 8pm except for 26th June at 3pm. Tickets are available to student for previews 21st and 22nd June for EUR7. On 24th, 25th, and 26th June concessions are available for EUR20.
