A.I., one of the top female R&B singers and songwriters in Asia, is proud to announce today her agreement to host the official Michael Jackson tribute concert in the fall of 2011 in Tokyo, with the world renowned musical family, the Jacksons.
TOKYO, JAPAN, December 01, 2010 /Music PR News/ -- A.I., one of the top female R&B singers and songwriters in Asia, is proud to announce today her agreement to host the official Michael Jackson tribute concert in the fall of 2011 in Tokyo, Japan, with the world renowned musical family, the Jacksons.
This will be the first Michael Jackson tribute concert sanctioned by the Michael Jackson Estate. This memorial event will also celebrate the reformation of the legendary music group The Jacksons, which will perform for the first time since the band's one night reunion for Michael Jackson's 30th anniversary concert in September 2001. Four distinguished members of The Jacksons - Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon - will reunite for this special project with A.I. in honor and memory of their brother, Michael.
In 2010, A.I. had followed Michael Jacksonfs path in a three-part documentary TV program gAI miss Michael Jacksonh for a Japanese music broadcasting station, MUSIC ON! TV. She visited locations where Michael spent his childhood and interviewed people he was deeply associated with. Through shooting this documentary program, A.I. established her bond with the Jackson family, which eventually led to the idea of holding this exclusive Michael Jackson tribute concert.

Born on Nov. 2nd in Los Angeles, between a Japanese father and an Italian- American mother who introduced A.I. to tap dancing and music. A.I. cherished her childhood in a multi-cultural environment. She was astonished at the age of 12, when she was first exposed to the power of gospel choir at the First AME Church.
She pursued her love of music and dancing at a performing arts school in LA (LACSA). In 1998 A.I. performed as a member of the choir team for Mary J. Blige's concert at the Universal Amphitheater. The following year, she appeared as a dancer in Janet Jacksonfs music video gGo Deep.h
In 1999, she returned to Japan and released her debut album with BMG titled "My Name Is AI". She signed with Def Jam Japan two years later as the first female vocalist from the label. In 2005, she released the smash hit single "Story" which sold over 4million copies in Japan.
