LateRooms.com - Bilbao Song Premieres at New Peter Friedl Exhibition

Art lovers may be drawn to Bilbao this spring with the news that Peter Friedl's latest film is on display there and looks to be an intriguing prospect.

BILBAO, SPAIN, March 11, 2010 /Music PR News/ -- Peter Friedl's new film Bilbao Song is being shown at a new exhibition of the artist's work in the titular Spanish city along with a collection of his other productions.

Showing at the Sala Rekalde until June 6th, visitors can get wrapped up in the bizarre imagery of Bilbao Song, which includes performances by clowns Pirritz and Porrotx, trained and un-trained actors, as well as a series of guests such as Julen Madariaga, who is a lawyer, politician and member of social movement Elkarri.

The variety of people involved in the production of this latest piece by Berlin-based Friedl should tell travellers heading to the show from accommodation in Bilbao that they are in for a complex experience.

Thrown into the mix are representations of various Basque paintings to create an intriguing allegory that ultimately focuses on the process of image production, according to the venue.

Other films by the artist that can be seen at the Sala Rekalde are Theory of Justice, Playgrounds, The Children and Liberty City.

The Gallery is open from 10:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 20:30 (local time) from Tuesdays through to Sundays and from 10:00 until 14:00 on Sundays and public holidays.

Friedl's work takes the place of Abigail Lazkoz's Extraordinary Machines, which was on display at the art facility from October 8th 2009 to January 31st 2010.

"The Bilbao Song is likely to be popular," said Jess Reading, head of marketing at LateRooms. "LateRooms strongly recommends people considering attending to book hoteles en Bilbao as soon as possible."
